Who is responsible

What we collect, and why

When you send the “Check compatibility” form, we receive:

• your name, email address and role, and your phone number if you give it
• the address of your housing company
• if you add them: photos or models of the sauna stove and control unit, and your message

We use this to check whether Smart Sauna works with your sauna and to get in contact with you about it. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR: steps taken at your request before a possible contract.

Name, email address, role and address are required: without them we can’t answer your request. Everything else is optional.

Photos can contain the place and time they were taken. The form removes this information before sending when your browser can, and we remove it from JPEG photos before storing them. Please photograph only the devices, not people.

Who processes the data

• Attio stores the requests sent with the form (customer relationship management). Attio Ltd is based in the United Kingdom, for which the EU has an adequacy decision, and hosts the data on Google Cloud. Where Attio or its subprocessors process data outside the UK and the EU, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply.
• Vercel hosts this website and runs the form’s server code in Stockholm, Sweden. Vercel processes technical data such as IP addresses in its server logs, which we need to keep the website secure and running; the legal basis is our legitimate interest in that, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Vercel Inc. is based in the United States and certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; its data processing agreement also includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your request for as long as we need it to answer it and follow up on it. If it leads to a contract, we keep the data for as long as the contract runs and as long as the law requires afterwards.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of its processing and a copy to take elsewhere, and you can object to its processing. Email us at hei@smartsauna.fi.

We don’t make automated decisions about you, and we don’t use your data for profiling.

You can also complain to a data protection authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work; in Finland, that’s the Data Protection Ombudsman.

Cookies and tracking

This website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. Fonts and images come from this website itself. If you switch between light and dark mode, the choice is saved in your browser and is not sent to us.
